Don't want to set up an appointment for someone to come out and do an estimate, but still want to get an idea of how much a metal roof for your house will cost? If you can answer these questions, we can give you an estimate over the phone or through email!
1. What style of metal roofing are you considering? (vertical panel, also known as standing seam, simulated shakes, slate, tile, or shingle)
2. What is the total square foot area of the slab of your home?
3. What is the slope, or pitch of your roof? (4:12, 8:12, etc)
4. Is your roof primarily a "hip" style roof or primarily a "gable" style roof?
5. Does your roof have any dormers?
6. How many valleys are on the roof? Do you know the appoximate linear feet of the valleys?
7. What is currently on your roof? If there are asphalt shingles on the roof, how many layers?
8. What type of decking is on the roof? Is it in good condition?
9. Do you have any skylights? How many? What size?
10. Do you have a chimney? How many?
11. Is your home one story or two or more?
12. How accessable from the ground is your roof? (For example, is there a pool blocking access in any area? Decks? Landscaping designs? Extreme elevation change?
Of, course, if you decide you would like for us contract a new roof with you, we would have to do actual field measurements to make sure our estimate is correct.
